Coastal and Ecological Program (CEP)
CTW has been collaborating with grantors and other land managing agencies since the Deep Water Horizon disaster on the Gulf coast. After working with crews during the cleanup, we relocated our offices to the Gulf coast as it was more central to the southeast region.
Participants working in this program provide much needed coastal and habitat restoration to such agencies and US Fish and Wildlife at their National Wildlife Refuges, Environmental Protection Agency, estuarine reserves and coastal marine labs to name a few.
Services provided in this program include species process and handling, shoreline restoration, marine debris removal, bayou restoration, installing rip rap, clearing woody duff from small bayou pools, clearing ephemeral ponds, improving habitat for threatened and endangered species such as Frosted Flatwoods salamanders and loggerhead, gopher and green sea turtles, fuels reductions and fire preparation which includes clearing Red Cockaded Woodpecker stands.
