Youth Work Experience Program (YWEP)

Some service-learning projects are offered to participants on improving public roadways and transportation access areas.  CTW has been collaborating with Florida Department of Transportation since 2006.  This program focuses on improving public roadways, FDOT right of ways, primary roads, retention ponds, and outfall ditches. This program is an up to 18 month developmental program where participants obtain on the job training, mentoring, industry recognized certification, as well as life management skills which improves their employability skills while also improving the community in which they live.  Services provided to the transportation agencies include chain link and farm fence installation, mowing, weed eating, tree and brush removal, manual weed control, sign installation, invasive removal, edging, guardrail maintenance, sign washing, litter removal.
